CHRISTOPHER BISHOP
FOUNDER AND CHAIRMAN

Christopher Bishop’s strategic skills were forged in the Boardroom and working with CEO’s and Celebrities. Bishop brings expertise in business development and has been the key visionary force behind FAITH UNION™.

He currently oversees business development, industry engagement and funding initiatives as FAITH UNION™ heads into its full program launch stage.

A firm foundation in security between high-profile clients, including high net worth executives and government officials, combined with down-to-earth, intuitive communications position Bishop as a relentless force in launching FAITH UNION™.

For the past 15 years, Bishop has focused on building companies, raising capital, and developing strategic relationships. 

Bishop grew a prior company to over 100 employees. It was this experience that taught him how to hire, teach, train, motivate and lead a business. It was here where he learned corporate boardroom negotiating skills and the power of leveraging a technology platform.

Christopher’s mission is to provide financial services to low-income consumers so they can increase their income, employment, and standard of living.

Sherman Brown
Co Chairman - Board Member

Sherman Brown, is highly regarded as one of the most influential and connected entrepreneurs in sports, entertainment, advisory and philanthropic sectors.

He actively advises owners of professional sports teams, iconic professional athletes, professional and college coaches, CEO’s of professional sports teams, talent agencies, film studios, global sports federations and international philanthropic organizations.

He is a co-founder of Grace at the Race, the widely acclaimed celebrity studded Kentucky Derby hospitality event, The Jerry Colangelo-Basketball Hall of Fame Celebrity Golf Classic and The Basketball Hall of Fame London Classic, debuting in 2020 airing on CBS and featuring the University of Kentucky vs the University of Michigan basketball teams playing at the world famous O2 Arena.

SHARON BUTLER
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Sharon Butler is a results-oriented marketing executive with experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, faith-based projects & initiatives, relationship management, leadership, business development & strategy.

Prior to joining FAITH UNION™, Sharon served as Marketing & Media Director at a large church and was appointed as Executive Director of Community Outreach where she was responsible for marketing, communication, strategic relationship management, and business & program development.

In addition to strategic business development efforts, she directed media relations, branding, advertising, website development and managed sponsors, events, collaborative partnerships, charitable contributions, broadcast television, communications for print, web publication, marketing training and more.

GREGORY RHEA
PRESIDENT | CO-FOUNDER

Gregory Rhea began his career in financial services in 1990 as a Branch Manager Trainee for ITT Financial Services. Within two years, he was selected for the position of Regional Real Estate Manager in charge of overseeing, growing and selling ITT’s western region multi million-dollar real estate portfolio.

After a successful experience at ITT Financial, Mr. Rhea became an entrepreneur and started a Health and Fitness Club chain with other partners. In addition to being an owner, Mr. Rhea served as the Director of Sales and Marketing, responsible for over 100 employees in two states and four locations.

Gregory went on to hold such positions as Regional Sales Manager of a Technology Firm, Partner of a Mortgage Company, a Licensed Financial Adviser holding and President of his own Real Estate and Investment Firm where he repositioned over a billion dollars in transactional financing. Today he is President of Faith Union Corporation which is dedicated to teaching financial education and providing financial services to the un-banked and under-banked as well as the financially established.

Currently, he’s working on Project Faith for the Bahamas in conjunction with The Impact Network. They are actively raising one million dollars to provide some relief for the victims of hurricane Dorian.

Mr. Rhea has recently completed a Master’s Degree in Hebraic Biblical Studies from Melodyland School of Theology and serves as an Ordained Reverend at Breath of the Spirit Ministries as well as a Radio Host of the Program Torah Found on KCWGthetruth.com.

He has a 14 year daughter, the actress Brooklyn-Bella, and resides in Orange County, CA.

Zachary Lax
Chief Strategy Officer

Zachary Lax has helped companies around the world in a variety of fields develop their business strategies. His industry experience includes technology, healthcare, e-commerce, and more. In 2015, Mr. Lax co-authored four software patents. He has received multiple awards for his work in entrepreneurship, including being recognized as Syracuse University’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year (2008), and by Microsoft as a finalist in their annual worldwide social innovation competition (2013). Mr. Lax holds a B.A. in Economics and Policy Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Syracuse University and a M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a J.D. and M.B.A. from Boston College.

Steve Aust
Executive Vice President. White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships

Steve Aust, Executive Vice President Steve Aust attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, receiving a B.S. in Business Administration in 1982. Since that time he has built a career of solid business experience that spans over 20 years. Since 1991, Steve has worked to raise over $100M in Venture Capital for several direct sales companies. In the mid 1990’s Steve worked to raise capital for numerous dot.coms. Among these firms is the Video Home Shopping Network.com where he raised $8M, Visionquest.com where he raised $2.5M and 2Extreme Sports.com where he not only raised $5M but also took the company public. Another project of notoriety, in 1995, Steve worked with the world-renowned developer and financier, Donald Trump to create the Wall Street Café theme restaurant on 40 Wall Street in New York City’s financial district. Steve secured $12M in initial financing to complete the development of the Wall Street Café. Prior to working in the investment Banking industry Steve had a very successful career direct sales. He owned and operated his own direct sales company that marketed many various products which span from nutrition and skin care to travel and entertainment.

Steve performed in the Top 100 for 12 years with various direct sales companies with over 250,000 distributors. Steve has had a very dynamic professional life, prior to his business success in direct sales and investment-banking Steve spent his young adult life as a college and professional athlete. While at Pepperdine University he played Division I Basketball leading him to a professional basketball career playing for a European league as well as the Summer League Los Angeles Lakers. During his time on the Lakers squad Steve played with the likes of Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain and other world-class players.

MARK SMILEY
VICE PRESIDENT of CARIBBEAN AFFAIRS

Mark Smiley is CEO of Powermix Traders. Powermix Traders was launched in early 2010.

This trading company brokers deals that enable essential products to be shipped around the world. Clients range from US-based to international traders that source commodities such as sugar, wheat, cement, minerals, and oil.

Mark inherent networking qualities have enabled him to form strong alliances from within his community to the shores of the Caribbean and beyond.

NOEL K. TSHIANI
SENIOR ADVISOR TO CHRISTOPHER BISHOP

Muadiamvita (known as Noel K. Tshiani) was born in Ngandajika in the Eastern Kasai Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on December 25, 1957. He is expected to be an independent candidate for the Congolese presidency in their forthcoming elections.

Since 1992, Dr. Tshiani has been a Commercial Investment and Development banker and a financial economist. He has served notably at the World Bank as Country Manager and as Mission Chief for Private and Financial Sector Development.

He has worked to restructure and transform distressed economies in West Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia. For example, his work in the Cape Verde Islands helped to increase the Gross Domestic Product per capita from 170 to 4400 dollars over the last 20 years.

Dr. Tshiani lead a team of World Bank professional experts who designed and implemented a comprehensive economic and financial transformation program for the West African Development Bank (BOAD), the Central Bank for West African States (BCEAO), as well as the eight countries forming the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU): Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo. The program significantly deepened the economic, financial and infrastructural integration of West African States.

Dr. Tshiani had previously worked as the International Lending Officer with JP Morgan Chase in New York, Senior Credit Officer with the Republic National Bank of New York, and an Account Officer with Citibank, N.A.
